I do agree with the somewhat strong feelings that more could be done for the lower income grp people, or just people who do not naturally have the means to access resources that the rich and wealthy can easily access.

Methinks its a matter of whether the people in authority consider that to be as value-adding as compared to developing grand scale projects that could potentially benefit these man-on-the-street.

A good point was raised abt where the money from the budget is mainly channelled to (haha!). While G money usually don't get farmed out $$ without strong, clear deliberation, methinks these are ultimately still "investments" that may not yiedl intended results (think bio-med investments and many others) despite the huge sums of money.

Compared to strategies or schemes to directly help the less privileged or even smaller businesses, I feel these can impact ppl in a more tangible fashion and the pay-offs would more certain (albeit of a smaller scale).

Anyways, to be politically correct here, i'm sure gd $$ is budgeted to agencies looking after the less privi.

Justice and righteousness have nothing to do with giving to the poor. Mostly, it is out of goodwill, generosity, and grace, that people give money, resource and time for a cause. From what I see that people who see progression for other are hardly find. Even the poor will see you as their competitor. For me, I think doing one's live well enough is good enough.
Then if you got enough, then you can lend your hand to others. There no point helping other when you can not even help yourself. If you want love someone, fill yourself with love. Until you have enough, it will overflow and pass it to others.

"Rich provided jobs for the people, instead of being part of problem"

You got a point. I agree with you.

The world do not play fair, but ideally the world should practise justice and righteousness.

It is my opinion that what we see as progression for others are in actual fact more geared towards promotion of self-interest.

But then again, we live in this imperfect world lar... Bo pian... Just do our little part within our sphere of influence in administering integrity and righteousness.

"Even the rich (those that should be the ones heavily taxed) with their busninesses and investments get tax rebates on GST and corporate tax schemes that works to their advantaged."

I don't think so. Rich provided jobs for the people, instead of being part of problem - they are the solution that why they got tax rebate. This world don't play on fair or not.
