From observation, I think the world views new year resolutions as if they are mostly lofty ideas or ho-hum wishes.
Besides it been the year-end and the beginning of a new year, I think our lives are more important than we think it actually is.
Thus, we should be seriously thinking of how are we in tune with our vision or life purpose on a daily basis rather than when only the year-end approaches.
“Show me, O LORD, my life’s end and the number of my days; let me know how fleeting is my life.”
In fact, I strongly believe that we need to take stock of our lives on a regularly basis- monthly or quarterly, depending on the level of responsibilities we bear.
Which means we need to constantly evaluate and keep tabs with how we are living in tandem with our goals and purposes.
If business organisations take their year-end reports and yearly projections seriously in order to stay on top of the competition, how can we not do the same with our lives?
Our lives is just too short to merely drift and cruise along. Cos you might not know where you will end up after doing so many things.
Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is.
An un-examined life is not worth living for.
As a saying goes, “Fail to plan and you plan to fail.”
Therefore, I think a better term to use for resolutions would be plans. Plans are achieve-able and calculated with commitment involved in the process.
Nonetheless, I think there should be no difficulty in drawing up “resolutions” when we are constantly focus on our goals and purpose in life.
That’s because when the vision is clearer, the options are lesser with the decisions that need to be made easier to make.

Haha… Amen to that!
We can plan & plan & plan, daily, mthly, yearly.
All will come to nothing if you ever pray that the Lord’s will be Done.
