Making history as the first black US President, Barack Obama won the votes by a landslide to enter the White House as the nation’s 44th President come 20 January 2009.
This result will be like a ray of light piercing through the dark clouds of our global stormy situation, offering a glimpse of hope to many.

Personally, his (Obama’s) win inspires some hope for Singapore politics; a glimpse of what democracy stands for and it can do for ordinary folks like me and my fellow Singaporeans.
