I have observed thru these sessions of Healing services and workshops on how HOPE Movement operates under divine authority and covering.
For instance, Peter Troung our healing evangelist rose among our Hope International community from Brisbane and has since travelled to many Hope churches in other countries to evangelise and minister from within our international community. I believe this not only a biblical approach, but the right one too.
We have seen many evangelists coming and going where they minister in rallies. However when someone converts or responds to the Lord, there is no proper follow-up or support. The likelihood is that the ‘seed’ will wither and not grow strong.
In our Hope Movement approach, at least we can be assured that converts fall straight into the local church community and those that respond can be discipled effectively.
Wow… that is how God’s love and power truly operates, in divine authority!
Last week I attended the Healing Workshop (Thurs) and Everyday Evangelism Workshop (Sat). Both were conducted by Peter Truong from HOPE Brisbane.
Don’t be deceived by his diminutive size as this little man of God packs a mighty punch of the Holy Spirit’s power.
As proclaimed by faith in the name of Jesus, many were healed and were touched by God one way or another.

There was a given time where Peter prophesised over me which brought healing to my heart, mind and soul.
This was the prophesy and reminder from God to me:
“There is no limit in God. God’s vision is big for you. Continue to seek and desire Him. Now its only the beginning, His vision is bigger. You are going to be His world-changer and a history-maker in impacting many lives.
Like Abraham, you will receive a spiritual inheritence and a father to many spiritual children.”
Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.
For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.
Ephesians 6:10-13 (NIV)

Little wonder he’s smiling from ear to ear… ha ha… =P
Over the weekend I ended up in a squabble with my mum over the same nagging issues on our house chores. I hate cleaning up after the animals that my mum rears at home.
My home, it’s a mini-zoo and store house. I can clean the house, but the very next day it will be back to its original filthy state… *sianz*
I conveyed my happiness on the issue. She did the same, but her unhappiness is me.
I went out and as I walked I evaluated the situation and prayed for Holy Spirit to search my heart for any wrong in me. This commandment of God came to mind: Honor thy father and thy mother.
Haiz… at that point I knew that I had not been a good boy to God =p
Though I may have been right in what I said to my mother, but I had been rude and disrespectful in some ways with my spirit.
After an hour, I took the courage to face my wrong. I explained and apologised to my mum via sms. *Yeah!*
I “yeah!” cos this sort of situations are rare between my mum and me as we do not have this practice in communicating our feelings to one another. So its a breakthrough!
“Honor thy father and thy mother, as the LORD thy God hath commanded thee; that thy days may be prolonged, and that it may go well with thee, in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee,”
Deuteronomy 5:16 (KJV)
Here’s the testimony of Pastor Ben and Dinah’s children that was shared over Hope Kids service last Sunday…
Hi! Today both of us are going to share wth you our testimony on giving.
At first, we told her we wanted to give some money to mum and dad, some to church building fund and save the rest.
She told us that whatever we plan to give to our parents will go to the church building fund because they want to see our church be debt free quickly. Our mother told us to consider giving all our hongbao collection to the church building fund, only if we are willing.
Deborah and I discussed and finally decided to just do one thing: that is to contribute all our hongbao money towards reducing the church debt.
“When you give, you feel a little sad because what you have given up is no longer yours. But on the inside, you experience the real joy of giving.” I feel that is true. Giving is seldom easy, but when you give with a willing spirit, you will feel true happiness.
“We were so excited to exchange all our money for a $510 cheque which we can offer to God.”
We would like to encourage you to give generously more often. We hope you will learn something from our testimony.
